Kent M. Moore, MPT
Master Piano Technician | Performing Artist | Composer/Arranger | UIL Accompanist
In 1980 Moore served as an apprentice tuner for a Yamaha piano Dealer. By 1982, Moore
was restoring pianos. He received additional technical training through
several Piano Technician's Guild chapters, and key industry piano technical
advisors. He held positions in the piano industry as a Territory Sales Manager
selling products such as Yamaha, Kawai, Bechstein, and other top brands.
In 1996 he started Moore Music & Imports, an independent music marketing
firm, where he represented several key manufacturers in the industry. For six years he
was the District Sales Manager for
Hammond Suzuki Pro Products. He was soon appointed as the national account rep for
Guitar Center. Moore also represented four distributors of pianos selling ten
different brands of pianos.
Moore started the Coppell Piano Shop in 2002 in order to create a home-based business
that gave him the opportunity to be closer to his family and return to his first
love of piano service while continuing to serve his community as volunteer.
